Your 9/11 Walk doesn’t need to be big or fancy, but it does need to invite and include people who are different from you and your friends. Otherwise, what’s the point?
So, from your church, mosque, or synagogue, or living room:
- Reach out to other congregations or neighbors – those you feel connected to or even better, those you don’t
- Share your vision – describe 9/11 Walks and why you want to organize one
- Propose a meeting place and start time
- Brainstorm about others you might invite
Once you have a partner and plan:
- Register your walk so others can find you
- Spread the word via phone, email, Twitter (#911walks hash tag) and Facebook (Use the 911walks tag elsewhere)
- Use these Simple Suggestions to Make Your 9/11 Walk Great!
